Hollow Inside

Wed Sep 16, 2009, 7:53 PM
  • Mood: Sadness
I have lost one of the greatest men in my life. My uncle Paul, who was only 45, died of a massive heart attack on 9-11-2009. I have never lost anyone I have been so close to or held so dearly. I feel lost and empty. Everyone keeps saying "think of all the good times you had with him" and cherish the memories. I would gladly give up every memory to have him back so we could make new ones. I wasn't ready for him to leave. There were so many more jokes to be told, and movies to be seen, and books to discuss. I wanted him to see me get married, if and when ever I do. I wanted him to hold my babies, if I ever had any. I just want him back. I want to hear his laugh; to hear his voice; to see his face. I want one hug and one more kiss. I want to hear him say "I love you" one more time. We want things more when we know we can't have them, when they are unreachable. I miss him...so much

I caught your comment in RS Connett's latest work (VMaximus):

"It made me think of "Where the Wild Things Are." I love it!"

and thought you might enjoy this:

He's a sculptor and special effects make-up artist that has done work on MANY noteworthy movies. I'll think you'll especially appreciate his work on the soon to be released Maurice Sendak inspired movie, but take a look at ALL his work. You'll be surprised!

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of themselves without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, 'If I live, I will kill you. If I die, You are forgiven.'

People give up their lives for many reasons.
For friendship, for love, for an ideal...
And people kill for the same reasons...
